Clock Tower of İzmir

The Clock Tower built in 1901 by Sultan Abdulhamid II to commemorate his 25th anniversary on the throne, is indeed a significant example of the Orientalist style in Türkiye. Designed by Raymond Charles Péré, it reflects a blend of Ottoman and Western architectural influences.

Kültürpark

İzmir Kültürpark was founded on January 1, 1936 under the leadership of Behçet Uz. The purpose of the facility was to develop the republican Turkey's relations with other states in line with Atatürk's request.

Kulturpark has more than 8,000 trees and around 200 plant species. Trees and vegetation have been tagged and the trees insured

Kemeraltı Bazaar

Kemeraltı is one of the world's oldest bazaars.

The 2,400-year-old Kemeraltı Bazaar of İzmir, which embraces many historical places, has been the city's shopping mall since the Hellenistic period. It is an important place that directs the social, cultural and commercial life of İzmir and accelerates the development of the city.

The Historical City Center of İzmir, which includes Kemeraltı Bazaar and its surroundings, was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in April 2020.

Tavacı Recep Usta

This is one of the few branches opened by Diyarbakır's renowned chef, Recep Usta. In its spacious setting, the restaurant offers special dishes prepared from milk-fed lambs native to Diyarbakır. It is famous for its tava (pan-fried meat), stuffed ribs, and boiled lamb neck. Located in Kordon, it features a garden seating area.

Tavacı Recep Usta was awarded the Bib Gourmand in the Michelin Guide's 2024 selection.
